2017-2018 Spirit Shirt

Reported by on 5/23/17

Dear Steck Families,

I am pleased to announce Steck’s theme for the 2017-2018 school year. It is “HERO Headquarters”, where HERO stands for Helpful, Engaged, Respectful, and On Task. We liked our superhero theme from this year so much that we decided to continue with something similar. This theme is connected to the PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) philosophy. Students will continue to be introduced to common expectations throughout the building. We will focus on the statements of “I will…be respectful, be responsible, be safe, and be ready”. We will focus on celebrating all of the positive elements of our school and successes related to these “I will” statements throughout the year. One way we will do this is to celebrate Steck Spirit Days! Students and Staff are invited to wear Spirit Shirts, school colors, or other Steck gear on Friday each week. Our first Spirit Day will be on the first Friday of school (Friday, August 25, 2017). You can find ordering information on the attached flier. All orders are done online. This is optional. Students that do not order the Spirit Shirt can participate on Spirit Days by wearing the school colors of navy and white or other Steck wear. Steck Staff will have the same Spirit Shirt and participate in Spirit Days. Spirit Shirts will be available for pick up on August 16, which is also the day to pick up PTA school supply kits this year.

Please contact the school office with any questions.
