 Steck PTA Executive Board Members

Open committee positions are as follows:

  • Reflections:  Coordinate student participation in the national, juried arts competition sponsored by National PTA. Prior committee chair is available for questions and guidance.

  • Carnival: Organize the one day volunteers’ tasks, organize and implement the annual
    carnival; the current chair provided a very organized footprint for the committee which can be
    used in the future. All prior vendors have been contacted and reserved for this year's carnival. Prior committee chair is available for questions and guidance.

  • Pancake Breakfast: Help set up, prepare food and clean up during this Saturday morning
    event in December; the current chair provided a very organized footprint for the committee which can be utilized in the future.

  • Nominating Committee: Organize slate of candidates for PTA Election that are nominated
    by the Steck parents; lasts about 1 month in the spring. Prior committee chair is available for questions and guidance.

At Reba O. Steck Elementary School, we have been implementing a school-wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports System (PBIS) called Steck's Eagle I's of Excellence.  PBIS is designed to teach students pro-social skills and to support behaviors consistent with a positive and safe learning environment.  Our students are working on exemplary behavior in our Eagle I's: I will be… respectful, responsible, ready, and safe.

Within our Eagle I program, we reward students, teachers and staff for displaying positive behaviors that reflect a dedication to the Eagle I's.  Students that follow our Eagle I’s are recognized with Eagle Bucks where they can purchase raffle tickets for prizes or buy rewards from our reward cart.  Other ways we reward students include positive referrals, good news notes, celebrations in class, and by hosting school-wide assemblies.  We are dedicated to the students and their success at Reba O. Steck. 

Steck Son’s Night

  • Friday, January 23rd from 5 to 9
  • Join us for a night of fun at Luigi’s Pizza and Fun Center!
  • Steck sons are invited to bring their mom, grandma, aunt, or other adult guest and join in our 1st annual Son’s Night.

 

Tickets are $16 per person

Price includes:

  • All you can eat dinner buffet of pizza, salad, pasta and dessert.
  • Game Room key with a $5 credit as well as 15 minutes Laser Tag and
  • An unforgettable night for our STECK sons and their “date”.
