  • Teacher Appreciation: decide how and when we will be appreciating the teachers and staff at Steck; current chair available for consult
  • Eagle Eye Editor: “at home position” put together electronic PTA newspaper for monthly distribution; current chair available for consult
  • Before/After School Programs Registration Coordinator: Coordinate registrations for before/after school programs (this is a job that can be done from home and the current chair available for consult)

At Reba O. Steck Elementary School, we have been implementing a school-wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports System (PBIS) called Steck's Eagle I's of Excellence.  PBIS is designed to teach students pro-social skills and to support behaviors consistent with a positive and safe learning environment.  Our students are working on exemplary behavior in our Eagle I's: I will be… respectful, responsible, ready, and safe.

Within our Eagle I program, we reward students, teachers and staff for displaying positive behaviors that reflect a dedication to the Eagle I's.  Students that follow our Eagle I’s are recognized with Eagle Bucks where they can purchase raffle tickets for prizes or buy rewards from our reward cart.  Other ways we reward students include positive referrals, good news notes, celebrations in class, and by hosting school-wide assemblies.  We are dedicated to the students and their success at Reba O. Steck. 

 

5K USATF Certified Race Course​​ & 1 Mile Family Run/Walk​

REGISTRATION FEES

  • Individual 5k or 1 mile fee: $20
  • Family of 4 or more: $60
  • Family of 7 or more: $80
  • You can register at www.SteckFunRun.com

Registration Fee includes: entrance to USATF Certified 5k race or 1 mile fun run/walk (both races will be chip-timed), admission to the family post-race PARTY & VENDOR EXPO, one t-shirt per registrant, and one entry into the prize drawing at the post-race party.

POST RACE PARTY AND VENDOR EXPO

The post race party is an event to look forward too!! All registrant's (and their family members in the event that race registrant is a Steck student) will be welcome to attend the party which includes free food (pizza, sandwiches and subs) and beverages, prize drawings, and a vendor expo put on by our sponsors which includes freebies, giveaways, demonstrations, free post race massages and information about our sponsors. This is a very fun event for the entire family and is FREE with registration! ​​​
