Students keep their own library cards in their classrooms. They check out their books independently at the circulation desk.
It is expected that students handle all LMC materials respectfully, including their library cards. A replacement fee of $1.00 will be collected for a lost or damaged card.
Hours for student check out are 9:30AM - 3:25PM.
Books or periodicals are checked out for a period of two weeks. Occasionally a very popular title may be placed on Special Reserve for a one week checkout.
One renewal is allowed.
Kindergartners may check out one book from September through December. After Winter Break they may check out two books.
Grade 1-3 may check out two books at a time.
Grades 4-5 may check out three books at a time.
If a student has an overdue item, no further checkouts are permitted until the overdue material is returned.
